Apple is preparing to launch Macs with M4 processor and iPads at reduced prices
A recent report by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman revealed that Apple is preparing to hold a special event in the coming weeks, to launch a new set of Macs with M4 processorin addition to new versions of iPads at more competitive prices.
New Macs include:
- MacBook Pro 14 inch
- MacBook Pro 14-inch and 16-inch with two advanced M4 processor options
- iMac with M4 processor
- Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro processors
As for the iPad devices, it is expected to announce the seventh generation of the iPad mini and the eleventh generation of the regular iPad.
The event is expected to focus mainly on: Apple's AI TechnologiesThe company will likely start rolling out the first features of this technology to current iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
The report didn’t specify an exact date for the event, but Gurman noted that Apple is waiting for manufacturers to start shipping higher-performance MacBook Pro and Mac mini models. The event is likely to happen closer to the end of October, unlike last year.
The seventh-generation iPad mini is expected to receive special attention, with camera improvements and new color options. This version could also support Apple Intelligence if it is equipped with an A17 Pro or A18 processor with 8GB RAM like iPhone 16.
It is noteworthy that Apple seeks to release the iOS 18.1 update as soon as possible for iPhone 16 devices, to activate the new artificial intelligence features that are a major factor in marketing these phones.
